We wanted to let you all know, as you may have read in the press, that Ford have chosen to dramatically cut the size of their UK Sales Dealer Network; deciding to hugely shake up their operations, with many cars such as the KA, Fiesta and from 2025, Focus no longer being produced.
As a result of Ford deciding that they only want to be represented in the UK by larger Dealerships along with a considerable number of other Ford Dealers, we have been instructed that this will be Abbeygate’s final year selling brand-new Ford Cars.
With that in mind we have embraced the KGM (formally SsangYong) brand who continue with the production of petrol and diesel vehicles that are highly spec’d, fantastic to drive and very competitively priced.
Disappointed at Ford’s reducing vehicle range and decision making, securing the KGM franchise for the whole of East Anglia 12 months ago was a great achievement for us and we are very happy with our performance so far with vehicle sales, servicing and parts.
The KGM vehicle range is continuously developing affordable and impressive cars, SUV’s and Pickups, which we feel directly replace the types of vehicles Ford no longer produce, and our customers want, we are very excited for the future.
We currently hold 2 Franchise Agreements with Ford - a Retail Dealer (Sales) agreement and an Authorised Repairer (Service, Repairs and Warranty) agreement.
Despite our 50 years of trading and loyalty to Ford, having received numerous awards from Ford for our achievements in both Sales volumes and more importantly to us, Customer Satisfaction, it has been decided that larger Dealers are where Ford wish to concentrate their vehicle sales.
*Please be assured that our Ford Franchise for Service, Parts, Aftersales and Warranty will remain unchanged we can continue servicing, repairing and caring for your vehicle and carry out warranty repairs exactly as we always have done.
We know many of you would like the chance to "buy one more" brand new Ford car from us in 2024. If you would like to look at your options, we can still take new Ford vehicle orders up to the 31st December and would love the opportunity to do so.
